New Workout plan

I’ve started a new workout plan while Im on a 8 week cut with my wife. I focus on upper body and my wife focuses on lower body. We work out together every day.

Ladies her workout goes like this.

Lower Body Deadlift 4 sets 8-12 Barbell Squat 4 sets 8-12 Calve Raises 4 Sets 8-12 Hip Extensions 4 sets 8-12 and ABS every day.

Upper body Bench Press Military Press and Curls 4 Sets Each 8-12 Reps We focus more on light weight and Reps on her Upper body Day.

Mine is Upper body Bench Military Curls and abs 5 Sets 6-10 Reps Lift Heavy!

Lower Body Calve Raises Squats and Dead lift 5 Sets Each 6-10 Reps Lift Heavy!

Of course I simplified this with the basic Workouts but I also do Some extra exercises. I just wanted to tell you the basic workouts.

We are currently at 195 bodyweight for me. My wife is at 153. My goal 185 hers 145 shes winning! lol

Motivation Monday

Im going to write about the scale today. That thing some of us are scared to step on in the morning. Sometimes I get frustrated with people online that think everything is about weight. This is ridiculous to some us that lift weights on the regular because we know that weight doesn’t really tell the whole story when you’re a lifter! I get pissed off at dudes online that talk down female lifters who are clearly in great shape for being too heavy. What the hell does that mean? lol I honestly think some of it is jealousy forreal. Some of those women can lift more and they’re jealous. The other thing is those people are obsessed with the scale because the famous health chart on google. You know the one that just puts the ideal weight for individuals based on their gender and height. That scale isn’t correct. Take me for example I am 5’8 and weigh around 195. Im not fat at all but I am overweight. I lift heavy and eat a decent amount of food to bulk then I cut to about 185. Which is still overweight according to the chart. I could careless honestly. Sometimes we have to ignore the noise and just stay focused on our goals. We can do it. Ladies and gentlemen You are capable of being in shape no matter your age height or weight. Stay blessed and keep going!

Light Workout Today

I did some light deadlifts and curls today for a workout. I did a dirty bulk and a lot of ego lifting for about 3 months lol. Now Im slimming down and toning. Lift light eat light for at least 4 to 6 weeks. It doesn’t take me long to slim down.

Why Music?

A lot of reasons for becoming a musician for a living. My background truly did limit my job options. Which was ridiculous because I had never been in serious trouble before. I made a mistake when I was 18 and a stupid situation cost me my future. I always loved music any genre but hiphop spoke to me. It hit home with certain situations artist rapped about I related to their pain. I wasn’t going through every thing the same way but I had the same hopeless feeling. I dealt with bullying not like getting shoved into the locker stuff but I had to fight back multiple times really against one particular family. I was quiet and stayed to myself mostly. How I ended up with the friends I had is crazy because I barely spoke. Girls liked me and most people were cool with me. I just felt lonely for some reason. I guess it was my mom being hospitalized all the time, my brother in trouble, or my dad being pretty much absent in my life. I don’t blame my father for anything today I understand him a lot more now that Im older and he is a good person with bad problems. I won poetry competitions when I was a child and I think that has always been my interest. So it makes sense hiphop interested me. I started writing music when I was 14 and rapped stuff to my friends and they made sure I got it recorded. I didn’t talk much so it was interesting to hear me on the mic I guess lol. So I grew up a little too quick and I made a mistake when I was 18 and found myself in jail and jobless. When everything was over I went into the job field looking for work. I got turned away from so many jobs the first year its crazy the same letter every time. You have red flags on your background blah blah blah. I have 94 rejection letters in my cabinet at home. Just to remind me. Im going to show them to my children when they’re older just to show them the reality they will face if they act stupid. I finally started getting work with construction companies who do hire a lot of people with backgrounds. They kinda treat their employees like crap but thats a different topic. I was still writing and recording music on and off while working and getting laid off over and over. I kept studying the industry the dos and the don’ts. Label or no label I decided my label and Im going to save money to build it. Then one day it happened the day I found out I was having my first child I got laid off. The company didn’t even have the decency to call me. One of my coworkers called and said you know what time it is. Yea I knew what time it was I went to the store bought my I mac and went to work. Im not a top selling artist or anything like that but I do manage to pay bills and make a living with music. Im blessed! Yall have a blessed day!

Workout Wednesday!

Got a nice workout in today! Chest/Triceps

I’ve started a 6 day training week. Ive been on it now for 3 weeks. Ive noticed a huge diff in my gains and my energy levels. Im on a better sleep schedule and my appetite has increased. Which is a good thing because I struggled with eating. My wife and I have been doing this plan together. Its working!

Today we did bench press, incline press, tricep extensions, front raises and side raises. With some crunches also and my wife likes to do military squats for atleast 4 sets. Everyday is leg day with her lol. Each exercise is done for 4-5 sets and 10-12 reps. Im not ego lifting right now. Focusing on form and endurance. Tuesday Blog Post

Well Im finally back from vacation and it feels great. This summer has been an interesting one thats for sure. I love traveling out of state to see my family but I miss home. Im jumping right back into the music and creating music videos. I have only made one video so far in my career so this will be a challenge. I have plans for three videos. Just chilln, Smoke, and My Way. I’ll drop the tracks below to my youtube. It’s good to be back!

Workout Wednesday Blog Post

Happy Birthday to me 32 and still strong as ever!

It’s summer time and everyone is hitting the beach and going on vacation. We’re eating out more and enjoying some adult beverages from time to time. Which is fine by the way. Sometimes we find it hard to stay in our typical eating patterns when enjoying summer fun. I know I do. I think the best way to counter this is to Lift a little longer and a little more cardio. I extend my workouts by about 30 minutes and I mix up my routine a little bit. This does help keep my body fat in check. I like to go for a jog or long walk with my wife on cooler days. Hiking and boxing are great ways to stay lean in the summer also. Remember to drink your water! I have some full body workouts for you below. I do these more often in the summer. Just to stay in shape and maintain while on the road.

Body Squats 5 sets

Push ups 5 sets

Crunches 5 sets

Dumbbell military Press 5 sets

Jump rope 10 minutes

Speed bag or heavy bag 20 minutes

If you don’t have a bag try some Shadow boxing.

I do this 3 to 5 days a week.

I have been thinking of ways to connect more with everyone and I think I have finally come up with a game plan. Starting next week Monday through Friday I will cover a certain topic and share my thoughts on it. I think this will be fun. This way I can get to know you and you can get to know me. On the weekends I will be sharing some things also.
